Ollagua

OLLAGUA – a Mapuche word meaning “beautiful view” or “the perfect place to gaze out at the scenery” – is a tribute to Mapuche culture and to all Indigenous peoples in general.
When traveling through Patagonia, what strikes us most are the landscapes, the vastness, the overwhelming presence of nature, and the otherworldly colors of this southern part of the planet.
From the very first day until today, as I’ve traveled through these lands, I’ve always thought about the indigenous people, who were fortunate enough to be able to behold these vast, completely untouched expanses, untouched by modern human influence.
Let us never forget that the Mapuche were here first, with a culture deeply connected to the stars, the forests, the animals, and nature itself.
May these landscapes we are fortunate enough to have in Bariloche guide us to the deepest and healthiest parts of our humanity.
